Foxconn to invest $ 210 million in new production lines



As disclosed by China Daily, Foxconn will invest $ 210 million on a production line of new Apple products. The plant is located in Huai'an city, covering about 40,000 m2 with about 35,800 workers.



Although this information is the most interest but clearly this line is still smaller than many other existing factory of Foxconn. The most typical and may include a factory in Shenzhen province with about 200,000 workers.

The new plant is expected to bring revenue ranges from 949 to 1.1 billion per year for Foxconn. It is not clear what products Apple will be assembled in a new production line, but the initial information that the plant will go into formal operation in October this year.

The Foxconn also plans to build another plant in Hainan island in southern China. Construction process will begin on 4/2013 and did not have information about what products will be assembled here.

Earlier, Foxconn and Apple has been criticized for working conditions in factories caused many workers to commit suicide. This makes Apple and Foxconn made ​​to conduct a separate investigation as well as a decision to reduce investment profitability to improve working conditions for workers.
