After the "big" Facebook was first sold shares to the public (IPO), Microsoft has quietly launched its social network. So.cl as a research tool in which students can share information on the many favorites.
However, Microsoft did not design to So.cl to compete with Facebook. The project's social networking software giant has a lot of information leaks last year, and finally was born. So.cl combination search engine and social network aimed at helping students help create a network with your friends to share information.
Microsoft's social network can share buttons like Facebook. So.cl has more features "bookmarklet" to create bookmarks for the button "Share on So.cl" to share the site with users or other So.cl.
Microsoft said that the search engine on the strength of So.cl.
The most prominent feature of So.cl is to create "video Parties", which allows users to search and sort the videos that I have shared with others.
Microsoft calls its social network as "an experiment on finding open", meaning that users will be able to view the content of other users and 3rd parties. However, Microsoft said it will not automatically open the user's activities without permission.
Currently, only So.cl test used in the University of Washington, Syracuse University, and New York.
