Tobacco devastating memory

 Cigarette smoking over time will depress brain function in men, according to research by the University of London.

Report published in Archives of General Psychiatry journal has collected information of more than 5,000 male British civil servants, with an average age of 56 and were followed for 25 years. The results showed that smoking causes serious effects of long term memory, and these people lose contact and events in the past with the present action, as well as an overview of the decline cognitive skills.

Besides, experts also found that those who quit for 10 years while the study took place is still faced with high risk of cognitive decline, but the level is not as serious as those who still smoke , according to AFP.
