Why should not kiss on Valentine's Day?

Valentine is probably the worst time for exchanging a passionate kiss

Valentine Valentine's Day (14/2) falls in the middle of cold and flu season.
So a kiss is probably not a good idea, infectious disease specialists in the U.S. suggests.

Dr. Jorge Parada - medical director, infectious diseases in health systems from Loyola University in Maywood, Illinois - said the change in the weather or temperature often blamed as the cause of cough and cold in winter but in fact coughing, colds and flu is an infectious disease from person to person.

"Too hot or too cold can cause the body stress, causing weaker immune system and therefore we are vulnerable" - Dr. Parada, who is expert on pharmaceutical antibiotics at Stritch said.

"Between February may be the peak season of infectious diseases like influenza H1N1 disease, mononucleosis (kissing disease), colds and coughs." So said Dr. Parada, Valentine's Day is probably the worst day for the couple exchanged passionate kisses.
Dr. Parada also recommend that people should not rely solely on subjective and obvious signs of disease such as sneezing or runny nose as a warning. He said people suffering from infectious diseases begin to spread the virus before they go through the torment of the disease.
